ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ 3. Anger/Resentment ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ
Matthew 5:38-39
Ye have heard that it hath been said, An eye for an eye, and a tooth for a
tooth: But I say unto you, That ye resist not evil: but whosoever shall smite
thee on thy right cheek, turn to him the other also
Ephesians 4:26-27
Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath: Neither
give place to the devil.
James 1:19-20
Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak,
slow to wrath: For the wrath of man worketh not the righteousness of God
Proverbs 16:32
He that is slow to anger is better than the mighty.
Proverbs 21:14
A gift in secret pacifieth anger...
Ecclesiastes 7:9
Be not hasty in thy spirit to be angry:
for anger resteth in the bosom of fools.
Psalm 37
Fret not thyself because of evildoers, neither be thou envious against the
workers of iniquity. For they shall soon be cut down like the grass, and wither
as the green herb.
Trust in the LORD, and do good; so shalt thou dwell in the land, and verily
thou shalt be fed. Delight thyself also in the LORD; and he shall give thee the
desires of thine heart.
Commit thy way unto the LORD; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass.
And he shall bring forth thy righteousness as the light, and thy judgment as
the noonday.
Rest in the LORD, and wait patiently for him: fret not thyself because of him
who prospereth in his way, because of the man who bringeth wicked devices to
pass.
Cease from anger, and forsake wrath: fret not thyself in any wise to do evil.
For evildoers shall be cut off: but those that wait upon the LORD, they shall
inherit the earth.
For yet a little while, and the wicked shall not be: yea, thou shalt diligently
consider his place, and it shall not be. But the meek shall inherit the earth;
and shall delight themselves in the abundance of peace.
The wicked plotteth against the just, and gnasheth upon him with his teeth. The
Lord shall laugh at him: for he seeth that his day is coming.
The wicked have drawn out the sword, and have bent their bow, to cast down the
poor and needy, and to slay such as be of upright conversation. Their sword
shall enter into their own heart, and their bows shall be broken.
A little that a righteous man hath is better than the riches of many wicked.
For the arms of the wicked shall be broken: but the LORD upholdeth the
righteous.
The LORD knoweth the days of the upright: and their inheritance shall be for
ever. They shall not be ashamed in the evil time: and in the days of famine
they shall be satisfied. But the wicked shall perish, and the enemies of the
LORD shall be as the fat of lambs: they shall consume; into smoke shall they
consume away.
The wicked borroweth, and payeth not again: but the righteous sheweth mercy,
and giveth. For such as be blessed of him shall inherit the earth; and they
that be cursed of him shall be cut off.
The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD: and he delighteth in his way.
Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down: for the LORD upholdeth him
with his hand.
I have been young, and now am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken,
nor his seed begging bread. He is ever merciful, and lendeth; and his seed is
blessed.
Depart from evil, and do good; and dwell for evermore. For the LORD loveth
judgment, and forsaketh not his saints; they are preserved for ever: but the
seed of the wicked shall be cut off. The righteous shall inherit the land, and
dwell therein for ever.
The mouth of the righteous speaketh wisdom, and his tongue talketh of judgment.
The law of his God is in his heart; none of his steps shall slide.
The wicked watcheth the righteous, and seeketh to slay him. The LORD will not
leave him in his hand, nor condemn him when he is judged.
Wait on the LORD, and keep his way, and he shall exalt thee to inherit the
land: when the wicked are cut off, thou shalt see it.
I have seen the wicked in great power, and spreading himself like a green bay
tree. Yet he passed away, and, lo, he was not: yea, I sought him, but he could
not be found.
Mark the perfect man, and behold the upright: for the end of that man is peace.
But the transgressors shall be destroyed together: the end of the wicked shall
be cut off.
But the salvation of the righteous is of the LORD: he is their strength in the
time of trouble. And the LORD shall help them, and deliver them: he shall
deliver them from the wicked, and save them, because they trust in him.
ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ 4. Death ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ
Psalm 23:4
Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no
evil: for thou art with me.
Psalm 116:15
Precious in the sight of the LORD is the death of his saints.
Romans 14:8-9
For whether we live, we live unto the Lord; and whether we die, we die unto the
Lord: whether we live therefore, or die, we are the Lord's. For to this end
Christ both died, and rose, and revived, that he might be Lord both of the dead
and living.
2 Corinthians 5:1
For we know that if our earthly house of [this] tabernacle were dissolved, we
have a building of God, an house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens.
Philippians 1:21
For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain.
1 Thessalonians 5:9-10
For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord
Jesus Christ, Who died for us, that, whether we wake or sleep, we should live
together with him.
Revelation 21:4
And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more
death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for
the former things are passed away.
Luke 20:34-36
And Jesus answering said unto them, The children of this world marry, and are
given in marriage: But they which shall be accounted worthy to obtain that
world, and the resurrection from the dead, neither marry, nor are given in
marriage: Neither can they die any more: for they are equal unto the angels;
and are the children of God, being the children of the resurrection.
1 Corinthians 15:35-57
But some man will say, How are the dead raised up? and with what body do they
come? Thou fool, that which thou sowest is not quickened, except it die: And
that which thou sowest, thou sowest not that body that shall be, but bare
grain, it may chance of wheat, or of some other grain: But God giveth it a body
as it hath pleased him, and to every seed his own body. All flesh is not the
same flesh: but there is one kind of flesh of men, another flesh of beasts,
another of fishes, and another of birds.
There are also celestial bodies, and bodies terrestrial: but the glory of the
celestial is one, and the glory of the terrestrial is another. There is one
glory of the sun, and another glory of the moon, and another glory of the
stars: for one star differeth from another star in glory. So also is the
resurrection of the dead. It is sown in corruption; it is raised in
incorruption: It is sown in dishonour; it is raised in glory: it is sown in
weakness; it is raised in power: It is sown a natural body; it is raised a
spiritual body. There is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body.
And so it is written, The first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam
was made a quickening spirit. Howbeit that was not first which is spiritual,
but that which is natural; and afterward that which is spiritual. The first man
is of the earth, earthy: the second man is the Lord from heaven. As is the
earthy, such are they also that are earthy: and as is the heavenly, such are
they also that are heavenly. And as we have borne the image of the earthy, we
shall also bear the image of the heavenly.
Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of
God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption. Behold, I shew you a
mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, In a moment, in
the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and
the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. For this
corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.
So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall
have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is
written, Death is swallowed up in victory. O death, where is thy sting? O
grave, where is thy victory? The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin
is the law. But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord
Jesus Christ.
1 Thessalonians 4:13-18
But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are
asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope. For if we
believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus
will God bring with him. For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that
we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent
them which are asleep. For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a
shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead
in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught
up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall
we ever be with the Lord. Wherefore comfort one another with these words.
ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ 5. Fear ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ
Mark 5:36
Be not afraid, only believe.
Joshua 1:9
Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid,
neither be thou dismayed: for the LORD thy God is with thee whithersoever thou
goest.
Psalm 23:4
Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no
evil: for thou art with me.
Psalm 27:1
The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the LORD is the
strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?
Psalm 56:4
In God I have put my trust;
I will not fear what flesh can do unto me.
John 14:27
Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give
I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.
Hebrews 13:5-6
For he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee. So that we may
boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me.
Psalm 121
I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. My help
commeth from the LORD, which made heaven and earth. He will not suffer thy foot
to be moved: he that keepeth thee will not slumber. Behold, he that keepeth
Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep. The LORD is thy keeper: the LORD is thy
shade upon thy right hand. The sun shall not smite thee by day, nor the moon by
night. The LORD shall preserve thee from all evil: he shall preserve thy soul.
The LORD shall preserve thy going out and thy coming in from this time forth,
and even for evermore.
Romans 8:28
And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to
them who are the called according to his purpose.
Romans 28:31
If God be for us, who can be against us?
Romans 28:35-39
Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress,
or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? As it is written,
For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the
slaughter. Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him
that loved us. For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels,
nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor
height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from
the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ 6. Lonliness ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ
Matthew 28:20
Lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.
Romans 8:35-39
Psalm 142:4-7
I looked on my right hand, and beheld, but there was no man that would know me:
refuge failed me; no man cared for my soul. I cried unto thee, O LORD: I said,
Thou art my refuge and my portion in the land of the living. Attend unto my
cry; for I am brought very low: deliver me from my persecutors; for they are
stronger than I. Bring my soul out of prison, that I may praise thy name: the
righteous shall compass me about; for thou shalt deal bountifully with me.
John 14:16-20
And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he
may abide with you for ever; Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot
receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he
dwelleth with you, and shall be in you. I will not leave you comfortless: I
will come to you. Yet a little while, and the world seeth me no more; but ye
see me: because I live, ye shall live also. At that day ye shall know that I am
in my Father, and ye in me, and I in you.
Revelation 3:20
Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the
door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.
Romans 14:7-8
For none of us liveth to himself, and no man dieth to himself. For whether we
live, we live unto the Lord; and whether we die, we die unto the Lord: whether
we live therefore, or die, we are the Lord's.
John 16:32-33
Behold, the hour cometh, yea, is now come, that ye shall be scattered, every
man to his own, and shall leave me alone: and yet I am not alone, because the
Father is with me. These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might
have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I
have overcome the world.
John 15:5
I am the vine, ye are the branches.
Romans 12:5
So we, being many, are one body in Christ, and every one members one of another.
John 14:26
But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my
name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance,
whatsoever I have said unto you.
John 16:7
Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for
if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will
send him unto you.
Ephesians 2:19-22
Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellowcitizens with
the saints, and of the household of God; And are built upon the foundation of
the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone;
In whom all the building fitly framed together groweth unto an holy temple in
the Lord: In whom ye also are builded together for an habitation of God through
the Spirit.
Colossians 2:5
For though I be absent in the flesh, yet am I with you in the spirit.
1 John 1:3-4
That which we have seen and heard declare we unto you, that ye also may have
fellowship with us: and truly our fellowship [is] with the Father, and with his
Son Jesus Christ. And these things write we unto you, that your joy may be
full.
ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ 7. Patience ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ
James 1:4-8
But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire,
wanting nothing. If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to
all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him. But let him
ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea
driven with the wind and tossed. For let not that man think that he shall
receive any thing of the Lord. A double minded man is unstable in all his
ways.
1 Peter 2:20-23
For what glory is it, if, when ye be buffeted for your faults, ye shall take it
patiently? but if, when ye do well, and suffer for it, ye take it patiently,
this is acceptable with God. For even hereunto were ye called: because Christ
also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye should follow his step.
Who did no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth: Who, when he was reviled,
reviled not again; when he suffered, he threatened not; but committed himself
to him that judgeth righteously.
Psalm 27:14
Wait on the LORD.
Ecclesiates 7:8
The patient in spirit is better than the proud in spirit.
Isaiah 25:9
Lo, this is 2our God; we have waited for him, and he will save us: this is the
LORD; we have waited for him, we will be glad and rejoice in his salvation.
Daniel 12:12
Blessed is he that waiteth.
Luke 17:4
And if he trespass against thee seven times in a day, and seven times in a day
turn again to thee, saying, I repent; thou shalt forgive him.
Acts 1:4
Wait for the promise of the Father.
Romans 5:3-4
We glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience; And
patience, experience; and experience, hope.
Galatians 6:9
And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we
faint not.
2 Timothy 2:24
And the servant of the Lord must not strive;
but be gentle unto all men, apt to teach, patient.
Hebrews 10:36
For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye
might receive the promise.
James 5:11
Behold, we count them happy which endure. Ye have heard of the patience of Job.
1 Peter 2:20
For what glory is it, if, when ye be buffeted for your faults, ye shall take it
patiently? But if, when ye do well, and suffer for it, ye take it patiently,
this is acceptable with God.
2 Peter 3:8-9
But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord
as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. The Lord is not slack
concerning his promise.
Revelation 14:12
Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of
God, and the faith of Jesus.
ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ 8. Strength ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ
Psalm 46:1
God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.
Psalm 55:22
Cast thy burden upon the LORD, and he shall sustain thee.
Psalm 91:2-4
I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I
trust. Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the
noisome pestilence. He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings
shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler.
Psalm 145:14
The LORD upholdeth all that fall, and raiseth up all those that be bowed down.
Isaiah 40:29-31
He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth
strength. Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall
utterly fall: But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they
shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and
they shall walk, and not faint.
Isaiah 41:10
Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will
strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right
hand of my righteousness.
Isaiah 41:17
When the poor and needy seek water, and there is none, and their tongue faileth
for thirst, I the LORD will hear them, I the God of Israel will not forsake them.
Psalm 23:2-3
He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still
waters. He restoreth my soul.
2 Corinthians 12:9-10
My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness.
Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of
Christ may rest upon me. Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in
reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ's sake:
for when I am weak, then am I strong.

ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ 14. WordWise for Recovery ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ
WordWise for Recovery is the most flexible and expandable Daily Scripture
program available. With over 30 Bible versions to choose from, support for most
major operating systems, and a registration price of just $29.95, we believe
that WordWise is an outstanding program.
A lot of work and thoughtful design has gone into making it an entertaining,
flexible, and valuable part of your software collection. Once installed on your
computer, it remains like a faithful friend, bringing you a message from God's
Word, the Big Book of AA and a recovery message as each day begins. WordWise is
a perpetual daily calendar, and contains enough Scriptures to display a new one
each day for an entire year without repeating. Though the Scriptures will begin
to repeat after one year, each verse will be displayed only once per year, and
the calendar date will always be correct. In addition to giving you daily
Scriptures, WordWise can remind you of your daily Bible readings as you read
through on a one-year plan.
Some of the features of WordWise are:
--Quotes for Recovering People (One for each day of the
year. No repeats!)
--"Alcoholics Anonymous" Big Book Quotes (Unlike similar
programs, there are no repeats for an entire year!)
--Over 30 versions of the Bible
--Monthly perpetual calendar which can be advanced or
regressed indefinitely.
--Pop-up references designed to aid in your Bible study.
--Daily reminders of Through-the-Bible readings.
--Automatic saving of daily Scripture and Recovery Quotes
to a file for use with word or speech processors.

of all other applications.
--Clipboard functions to capture Bible text.
